About vCard QR Codes

A vCard QR code stores contact information in the vCard format, which is a standard that every phone and contact app understands. When someone scans it, the phone reads the contact details and offers to save them to the address book. One scan replaces typing a name, number, email, and website by hand.

Because the contact details are encoded directly into the pattern, the code keeps working for as long as you use the same details. You do not need an account, and no server is involved when the code is scanned.
