About Audio QR Codes

An audio QR code stores the URL of a hosted audio file. When someone scans it, their phone opens the file in the default browser or music app and starts playback or offers a play button. The code itself is just a link, so any host that serves audio over HTTPS will work.

Because the URL is encoded directly into the pattern, the code does not need a redirect service and does not expire. It will keep working as long as the audio file stays online at that address.
